Last month I went to the Lowlands Festival. This years theme was Low Sweet Home, which is exactly what it felt like. Being at home. It was wonderful to see so many friends and to run into so many wonderful people I knew. Old friends, old students, old colleagues and new friends. This is the first (actually I posted one video from dancing already) real edit from the footage I made at the festival. The music is from True Story.

While I was in Belgrade last weekend for the wedding of a good friend, I was talking to another old High School friend. He has fought in pretty much every war since 1999. Kosovo, Sudan, Afghanistan and Iraq he's been there. He was complaining to me that there is no music for these soldiers these days like you had back in the days of Vietnam. Where are the Dylans, Hendrixs or doors of today? Will I know of one musician and band that is really speaking out. That is Michael Franti and Spearhead. I highly recommend this album to any soldier fighting, or anyone who has loved ones at war or is passionate about the political protesting.
